Bao Yuwei, art named Xu Peng, was born in 1970 in the old and well-known Bao,s pottery family in Dingshan Town of Yixing City. Bao Yuwei is a member of the Jiangsu Arts & Crafts Society, senior artist of The Jinxi Museum of Pottery. He started his art career in 1988 under the guidance of Mr. Ni Shunsheng, senior artist. Bao is good at drawing inspiration from traditional crafts such as wood carving and jade carding etc. to incorporate into his artworks, so that the artworks are simple and elegant yet full of fresh idea, magnificent yet masculine. In 2001 his works were sold to Korea, Japan and Israel and other countries, and were well received by collectors home and abroad.
